Lonestar Rip™

Lonestar Rip™ was a registered Quarter Horse, bred, raised, and trained in Texas. Of no special breeding, he was large, strong, quirky—what horse people might call “a lot of horse.” He found his person through a friend who knew, intuitively, who his person was.

Together, they built something neither could have accomplished alone. Lonestar Rip™ carried a middle-aged mother and grandmother to a Top 15 standing in the US, forgave her miscues, and could enter an arena without a bridle, quietly threading his way through a crowd on trust alone. Their understanding was simple: she wouldn’t scare him, and he wouldn’t scare her. Somewhere between the practices, competitions, victories, mistakes, and ordinary days together, she says the time she spent with Lonestar Rip™ healed her soul.

His story didn’t end in the arena. Lonestar Rip™ went on to earn many youth points with her granddaughter and participated in countless costume cuttings, tolerating the most ridiculous outfits with patience. More than a competitor, he became part of the family.

He lived with them in Covington, Louisiana, from the age of six until twenty-six, when they helped him cross the rainbow after an unexpected, short illness.

Lonestar Rip™ honors the rare souls who arrive without fanfare and become part of who we are. The ones who teach us trust, carry us farther than we believed we could go, and leave behind something no ribbon or ranking could ever measure.

Every PLUME™ fragrance arrives with a premium screw-top closure for secure storage and effortless use.
